The opportunity

We're partnering with a leading multinational consultancy to appoint an AI Transformation Lead in Bucharest. This is a senior, client-facing leadership opportunity combining business development, practice building and technical judgment. You'll help shape an AI and agentic transformation offering, build the client pipeline and oversee high-value engagements from opportunity through business impact.

What you'll do

Define the AI transformation offering, go-to-market priorities, market positioning and practice-development agenda.
Build relationships with boards, CEOs, COOs, CIOs and other senior decision-makers; originate and win transformation work.
Lead executive workshops, strategic pursuits, proposals and senior client discussions.
Sponsor complex client engagements, managing commercial priorities, stakeholder expectations and delivery escalations.
Provide senior technical oversight of major solution decisions, challenging architects and engineers where necessary.
Ensure engagements are commercially viable and designed around measurable client outcomes.
Build and mentor multidisciplinary consulting and technical teams.

What we're looking for

Significant leadership experience in technology consulting, AI-enabled business transformation or a related advisory environment.
A proven record of developing client relationships, generating pipeline and leading complex transformation engagements.
Strong commercial judgment, C-level communication and the ability to lead across business and technology.
Senior-level knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems, RAG, model evaluation, data architecture and cloud deployment options.
Familiarity with agent-development frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel or OpenAI Agents SDK.
An understanding of AI platform economics, infrastructure costs, deployment trade-offs, governance and risk.

The fit

Roughly equal emphasis on business leadership and technical depth. You don't need to build solutions yourself, but you must be capable of supervising and challenging important architectural decisions.
