Head of Group IT
About the company
For over two decades we've supported the digitalisation of businesses across Central and Eastern Europe. We are a leading software provider for small and medium enterprises - delivering ERP, finance & accounting, HR & payroll, and industry-specific solutions used by tens of thousands of clients across the region.
We hold a leading market share in our core segment, and our ERP system is a first-choice solution for SMEs. We grow both organically and through acquisitions - building a technology group backed by a global growth investor.
The role
We're looking for an experienced IT leader to take full ownership of internal IT across the group. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership - covering internal systems and business applications, infrastructure and network, and helpdesk and day-to-day user support.
You'll ensure the technology our employees rely on is reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs: systems supporting the whole organisation (internal ERP, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Azure, AWS, GCP, system integrations, and AI platforms), infrastructure and network environments, and an effective user support model across the region.
This is a group-wide role - you'll unify IT standards, tools, and processes across group companies, including newly acquired entities. Note: this role is not responsible for product development (that sits with R&D/CTO) - you'll focus on internal IT that keeps the company running smoothly, while also shaping the future of infrastructure, tooling, and AI platforms with a sharp eye on cost and value.
What you'll own
IT strategy and governance
Create and execute an internal IT strategy aligned with group business goals
Set IT standards, policies, and governance, and ensure they're applied across group companies
Advise the executive team on technology investments and plan multi-year IT development
Internal systems and business applications
Own internal systems and business applications (ERP, CRM, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, AI, collaboration tools)
Manage system integrations and data consistency and quality across the organisation
Optimise processes supported by internal systems and drive efficiency improvements
Infrastructure, network, and cloud
Oversee IT infrastructure: servers, network, hardware, mobile solutions, and cloud environments
Ensure availability, performance, and scalability so the business runs without downtime
Own domain administration, user access, and business continuity (backup, disaster recovery)
Helpdesk and user support
Manage the helpdesk function and ensure effective user support across all locations
Implement best-practice processes (e.g. ITIL): incident, problem, and change management
Monitor SLAs, response times, and user satisfaction - and continuously improve them
Cybersecurity and compliance
Implement and maintain protections for company and customer data, working with the security team
Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, KSC, AI Act) and internal security standards
Oversee IT risk management and regular audits of systems and processes
Continuously assess tools in use, including AI, for regulatory and budget compliance
Vendors, budget, and IT procurement
Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners - negotiate contracts and enforce SLAs
Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency and value from technology investments
Lead IT procurement and standardise hardware and services across the group
Team management
Build, lead, and develop the IT team - set goals and support skills development
Collaborate with business leaders and teams across group companies in an international structure
Build a culture of reliability, accountability, and high-quality internal customer service
What you bring
Several years of experience leading an IT function at director level, in a complex, multi-location (multi-country) environment
Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, cloud environments, and Microsoft 365 / Azure / AWS; Google Cloud experience is a plus
Experience managing internal business systems (ERP/CRM) and system integrations
Practical knowledge of helpdesk organisation and IT service management (ITIL)
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements (GDPR)
Practical knowledge of leading AI solutions on the market and experience running AI adoption processes within an organisation
Experience in vendor and budget management - negotiations, contracts, and IT budget ownership
Leadership skills - building and developing teams, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
Strong English (C1 minimum) for working in an international environment
Nice to have:
Industry certifications: ITIL, PMP / PRINCE2, Microsoft Azure / AWS, CISM / CISSP
Experience at a technology company or in a SaaS model
Experience with post-M&A IT integration
Experience delivering IT projects across the CEE region
What we offer
Real impact on the shape of internal IT at a growing technology group operating across the region
Hybrid work with a flexible approach
Subsidised private medical care
Additional paid leave days (including volunteering) and a bonus for uninterrupted leave
Budget and support for professional development - training and certifications
A company with clear values, an ambitious growth strategy, and real technology impact on the business
