About the Role

Our client is a fast-growing fintech business operating across three core verticals: consumer credit, business credit, and payments. As the organisation continues to scale its operations and expand into new markets, it is looking for a senior executive to take ownership of the strategic, commercial, and operational development of the fintech business.

This is a broad business leadership role with significant responsibility for growth, execution, and P&L performance. The successful candidate will operate as a business leader and builder, working across product, technology, sales, legal, compliance, and regulatory functions to develop existing operations, launch new initiatives, and support international expansion.

The position requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial leadership, and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on building scalable businesses and creating new capabilities in a dynamic fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & operational leadership - lead the strategic and operational development of the fintech business across consumer credit, business credit, and payments.
Growth & execution - drive revenue growth, scalability, and execution of new products, services, and business initiatives.
P&L ownership - take ownership of commercial performance and key elements of the P&L.
Cross-functional alignment - coordinate and align teams across product, technology, sales, legal, compliance, and regulatory areas.
International expansion - support the development and execution of international market-entry and expansion strategies.
Regulatory & compliance - ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are effectively incorporated into business strategy and execution.
Build from the ground up - build new processes, capabilities, teams, and potentially new business lines.
Commercial opportunities - identify and evaluate new commercial opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
Execution planning - translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans and measurable business outcomes.
Operate effectively in a rapidly evolving environment where structures, priorities, and business models continue to develop.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring significant leadership experience from fintech, financial services, banking, payments, or lending, together with deep expertise in at least one of the key areas of payments or credit.

Candidates with a background in top-tier strategy consulting may also be considered, provided they have subsequently developed meaningful hands-on operating experience within fintech or financial services.

Experience with international expansion or multi-market operations would be a strong advantage.

Location: Warsaw / Hybrid

Contract: Preferred contract model is B2B. The company offers a competitive executive-level remuneration package consisting of a base compensation plus an additional performance-related component and broader benefits / long-term incentive opportunities, depending on the candidate's experience and final scope of responsibility.
