Full Stack Engineer

The opportunity

An AI company is building systems to help organisations detect and respond to disinformation attacks in real time. The platform combines machine learning, proprietary knowledge of attack and defence techniques, and large-scale, high-throughput data analysis. The founding team brings over forty years of combined experience building data systems used by national security and commercial organisations.

After strong early traction, the team is now accelerating the build-out of the platform.

The role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and build systems from scratch across both backend and frontend. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable shaping architecture and writing production code without relying on pre-existing frameworks.

You'll own features end-to-end and contribute to key technical decisions from day one.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end features across backend and frontend

• Build scalable and maintainable systems from the ground up

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering on architecture and technology choices

• Explore and experiment with new technologies and approaches

• Troubleshoot, optimise, and ensure performance across full stack applications

What we look for

• Senior engineering experience - 7+ years of professional software engineering

• Systems building - experience designing and implementing systems from scratch

• Autonomy - comfortable working without established frameworks and making architectural decisions independently

• Startup experience - previous experience at early-stage startups or building products from scratch

• Go expertise - Go is required
