About the role

We're hiring a Business Analyst to support a large EU agency, delivered through a long-term Framework Contract for IT consultancy services (Re-opening of Competition 58, Lot 1). This is a long-term, near-site engagement based at the agency's headquarters, with occasional travel to other locations.

The role

You'll drive business analysis across enterprise systems and processes - modelling value chains and business processes, eliciting requirements, and supporting the full lifecycle of enterprise-scale software deployments.

What you'll do

  • Model and document value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data

  • Elicit and analyse business needs, requirements, and user stories

  • Support business experts and product owners during requirements definition and software development

  • Maintain and track requirements/user stories through the systems lifecycle

  • Translate business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications

  • Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features

  • Analyse available systems and support identification of solution options

  • Support preparation of business cases and feasibility studies

  • Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management

  • Design, validate, and test business processes to drive process excellence

  • Take a holistic approach to planning and managing continuous business process improvement programmes

  • Coach client staff on upcoming changes, ensuring plans are in place for new skills and process changes

  • Collaborate with process owners to continually identify improvement opportunities

  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement that lower cost or raise effectiveness/efficiency

  • Communicate project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders

  • Quantitatively analyse business processes, including cost-benefit and what-if analysis

  • Plan organisational change processes and implement performance monitoring for business processes

  • Support business users in developing strategic and tactical plans

  • Support definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures

What you bring

  • Experience covering at least one complete lifecycle of a software solution

  • Knowledge of business process modelling using BPMN notation

  • Strong skills in requirements/user story elicitation and analysis

  • Familiarity with analysis/modelling notations such as UML (capability, activity, and state diagrams, logical data models, etc.)

  • Proficiency with modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or similar

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Strong ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience as Business Analyst on a large-scale project (over 1 year duration, over €1M budget) deploying an enterprise resource planning system

  • Experience analysing business processes across Logistics, Warehouse Management, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Financial Management, Legal, HR, and Project Management

  • Experience in business analysis for Microsoft technologies: SharePoint 2019, SharePoint Subscription Edition, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse

  • Experience in business analysis for the ServiceNow platform (custom applications and standard modules such as Enterprise Assets Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, Customer Service Management, on-prem and cloud)

  • Minimum required years of relevant IT and similar-position experience as defined by the tender profile

  • Minimum English level: as required by the tender (CEFR)

  • At least one relevant certification: Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or equivalent, Certified UML Professional (Foundation level) or BPMN 2 Fundamental level, or an equivalent internationally recognised certification

Logistics

  • Location: near-site, at the client's headquarters, with travel to other locations as required

  • Engagement: Specific Contract under a framework contract, with defined initial duration and renewal options

  • Selection includes an interview stage as defined by the framework contract
