ServiceNow Architect
About the Role
A European institutional client is looking for a ServiceNow Architect / Business Analyst to join their IT operations team on a contract basis. You'll be the primary technical authority on the ServiceNow platform - designing architecture, translating business needs into solutions, and supervising development and improvement projects end-to-end.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role operating within a complex, security-conscious environment. You'll work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders across the organisation.
A personal security clearance is required for this role.
What You'll Do
Platform Architecture Design
Design and communicate ServiceNow platform architecture across the organisation
Set standards for design, development, quality, and testing
Design interoperability and interfaces with other systems
Translate business, user, and technical needs into scalable architectures
Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features
Select and evaluate technologies; collect and interpret system metrics
Optimise the platform from performance, security, and quality perspectives
Prepare system documentation and deliver presentations to varied audiences
Business Analysis
Assess internal stakeholders' expectations and requirements related to the ServiceNow platform
Gather, analyse, and translate business needs into optimal technical solutions
Ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements and architecture design
Present technical proposals clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Project Supervision
Supervise implementation of organisation-wide service management capabilities built on ServiceNow
Oversee ServiceNow development and improvement projects in close collaboration with architects and developers
Provide recommendations on business requirements and technical designs
Support risk management, disaster recovery, and security management across teams
Documentation
Maintain up-to-date solution documentation including technical design documents, SOPs, user manuals, and knowledge base articles
What We're Looking For
Technical Knowledge
Excellent hands-on experience designing ServiceNow platform solutions (on-prem experience is advantageous)
Excellent knowledge of the ServiceNow product portfolio and service management principles
Hands-on experience with systems modelling tools (Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or similar)
Solid knowledge of ServiceNow integration technologies: Web Services, SSO, LDAP, REST
Strong understanding of complex information systems and interoperability
Knowledge of IT security standards
Experience creating technical design documents and documentation
