Modern Endpoint Management Expert
About the Role
A European institutional client is looking for a Modern Endpoint Management Engineer to join their IT operations team on a contract basis. You'll be responsible for the centralised management of a large-scale workstation environment - thousands of physical and virtual endpoints - covering deployment, administration, security enforcement, and documentation.
This is a hands-on technical role operating within a structured, security-conscious institutional environment. A personal security clearance is required.
What You'll Do
Endpoint Management & Administration
Centrally manage a large-scale workstation environment (thousands of physical and virtual endpoints)
Perform daily administration: management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the workstation environment
Plan and prepare distribution of operating system images, patches, applications, and GPO/Intune configuration profiles (CSP/OMA-URI)
Perform scripting and configuration distribution
Troubleshoot workstation configuration issues in cooperation with other ICT teams and vendors (including Microsoft)
Application Lifecycle Management
Create, test, and distribute applications and packages
Monitor the lifecycle of deployed business applications - licence renewals, product updates
Monitor correct application deployment across end-user workstations
Troubleshoot application installation issues
Security & Compliance
Enforce and monitor application of security policies
Report on configuration standards enforcement and compliance status
Advise, propose, and implement configuration improvements, changes, and upgrades
Documentation
Create and maintain technical documentation for internal IT use related to Modern Endpoint deployment and configuration
Produce end-user-facing how-to documentation and manuals
Update existing documentation to reflect changes and updates
What We're Looking For
Technical Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of centralised Modern Endpoint Management solutions: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft 365 Apps, and Entra ID
Excellent knowledge of Windows client operating systems and IT end-user infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot deployment and troubleshooting
Experience with Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM)
Solid scripting skills in PowerShell
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related services
Experience with monitoring workstations
Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL-based change, configuration, and release management processes
Knowledge of IT security standards
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have
Experience managing and deploying 2Pint software
Knowledge of PatchMyPC
Familiarity with Tiering Model infrastructure
