Software Developer
The opportunity
This is a near-site contract role based at a EU agency headquarters in Warsaw, working on enterprise SharePoint solutions. You'll be embedded with the client team, contributing to full-stack development, technical leadership, and 2nd/3rd line support across a regulated public-sector environment.
Contract details: 12-month initial term with up to 3 annual renewals (maximum 48 months total). Earliest start: 1 August 2026. ~220 man-days per year (normal working hours).
What you'll do
Design, develop, and optimise enterprise-level software systems in the SharePoint domain
Lead technical teams and translate business requirements into architecture and design
Develop across the full stack: data layer, business logic layer, and UI layer
Build and maintain custom SharePoint solutions (SDK, workflows, timer jobs, features)
Develop .NET / .NET Core and SQL Server applications with T-SQL
Build and consume Web Services, REST APIs, and HTTP APIs
Manage Azure DevOps pipelines, configuration, and releases
Produce technical documentation, estimates, and prototypes
Act as 2nd and 3rd line support
Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, QA, change management, and deployment
What you bring
Mandatory:
ICT-relevant degree (minimum Level 6)
English language proficiency at B2 (CEFR) or above
At least 4 years of ICT-relevant professional experience
At least 2 years of project experience relevant to software development
At least 1 intermediate-level certification in software development relevant to the SharePoint domain (or internationally recognised equivalent)
Personal Security Clearance (at least Level 1 required - candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain)
Technical requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Full-stack SharePoint support or developer role (custom solutions, SDK, workflows, timer jobs, features)
Microsoft .NET / .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL
Azure DevOps pipelines
Web Services, REST API, HTTP API
HTML & CSS (responsive design), JavaScript, TypeScript (arrow functions, destructuring), React
UML - ability to design applications in UML
Scrum / agile development experience
Proven ability to lead technical teams
Assessment: Written test (up to 100 points, 60% pass threshold) + interview (up to 100 points, 60% pass threshold).
Location
Frontex Headquarters, Warsaw, Poland. Near-site service provision (Lot 1). Some travel to other locations may be required.
