This startup is building autonomous AI clinicians that operate at scale inside health systems.
Deployment Strategist
One of the first Deployment Strategists at a pioneering clinical AI company. Own partner relationships end-to-end from first scoping through live operation. You are writing the playbook.
About the Organisation
The organisation is building autonomous AI clinicians that operate at scale inside health systems. They work with a small set of pioneering partners - hospitals, national health services, and ministries of health - who are betting on the same future. This is not a company running pilots. They are in live operation, and growing fast. Founded by founders with an amazing track record within the healthcare sector, with multiple unicorns on their account.
About this Hire
This is one of the first three to five Deployment Strategists at the organisation. The role is broad by design. You will help build the deployment muscle from the ground up - working across pipeline, pursuits, and live partnerships while shaping how the organisation operates from the inside.
Later Deployment Strategists will join a playbook. You are one of the people writing it. The choices you make, the patterns you set, the standards you hold - these become the blueprint for everyone who follows.
What You Will Do
Be the senior person the organisation trusts on a partner relationship, from the first scoping conversation through years of live operation
Shape how the organisation sells, deploys, and runs partners - writing the playbook as you go
Generate pipeline alongside leadership; your judgment counts well before signature
Pull in engineers, clinical leads, and other specialists as the work demands
Take on whatever the organisation needs, including workstreams that do not yet have an owner
Who You Are
You should be equally comfortable in the room with a hospital CEO and rolling up your sleeves to do the operating work yourself.
Traits we hire on:
Solution-seeker - finds a way when there is not an obvious one
High tolerance for ambiguity - can move forward without all the data
Strong with people - builds trust quickly across hierarchy
Clinical literacy - you do not need to be a clinician but you need to be fluent in how care is delivered
Designs with partners, not for them - co-shapes rather than delivers against a spec
Low ego - willing to do whatever needs doing
Backgrounds we welcome (none required):
Strategy consulting or specialty healthcare consulting, ideally with an operating tour after
Founder or co-founder of something hard, especially in healthcare or another regulated industry
Health system insider who moved to a tech operator, or frontier tech operator with deployment experience
Ex-government, intelligence, or military with a transition into private-sector tech operations
To Succeed in this Role, You Should Like
Picking up when the partner CEO texts you on a Sunday
High pace, with multiple workstreams running in parallel and constant context switching
Making the call when there is not time to wait for more data
Owning outcomes end to end, including the failures
Being the most trusted person in the room, day in and day out
Compensation
Competitive base salary. Meaningful equity, front-loaded for the first hires in this role. Location flexible.
