Creator & Community Lead (London)
About Nanogram
Nanogram is a TikTok-style mobile feed where every item is a short, AI-generated browser game - anyone can make one from a prompt. We're growing fast and building the product and team in London.
The role
One outcome: the best creators on Nanogram get better, stay, and bring others.
Curator of success. Find the creators who love the app most and make them excellent. Understand what separates a creator whose games get played from one whose don't, then build that loop at scale.
Nurture creators towards monetization. We're introducing creator monetization soon. It only works if Nanogram is already a creator's biggest hobby, so paying feels obvious. Getting there takes weeks of nurturing, not a quick push.
Build the home, then make it the best game creation community on the internet. Right now that's Discord, though the format might change. You own what it feels like to be there and why people come back. Longer term: host game jams that matter beyond our own userbase.
Voice of the user, and the brand on the creator side. You carry what users want into the product, and carry who Nanogram is back out to them. You'll work closely with a full-time content creator who builds the Nanogram brand on social media and turns your game jams into videos.
What you bring
Everything below needs to be something you've actually done, not seen or could do.
Built a brand or product community from zero, where no demand existed first, and it grew alongside a small product that went from nothing to real traction. You can name the first 100 members and how they arrived.
Product literacy, ideally from inside an app team, and you use it to filter the user voice rather than relay it: ten requests in, one clear thing worth raising out.
Creator development, not just moderation. You've taken individual creators and made them measurably better or bigger, and can describe how.
Run recurring formats people showed up to week after week, and built at least one flagship event or format that grew in reputation and pulled people in from outside your existing community.
Understand engagement as the road to monetization, and read the numbers that prove it: active members, retention over time, share of creators who publish more than once, creators who bring others, and where that engagement eventually turned into money.
A real gaming background, as a player or from working in games. Autonomous: this is a zero-to-one role with no playbook to inherit.
Nice to have
Was a creator yourself at some point, in games, video or UGC.
Deep Discord mechanics: roles, onboarding funnels, bots, permissions, anti-spam.
Experience balancing a two-sided product, where creators and consumers both need serving.
Has worked with a content creator or talent before.
Not a fit
Kept an existing community tidy, or grew one around a topic that was already famous. Neither is building one from nothing.
Crypto, web3, token or trading communities.
Posts on brand channels but doesn't know the members.
Agency or consultancy background only.
