About Nanogram

Nanogram is a TikTok-style mobile feed where every item is a short, AI-generated browser game - anyone can make one from a prompt. We're growing fast and building the product and team in London.

The role

This role is very important to us: this is the person who decides what the app becomes. You'll take input from the founders and from the Product Growth Lead, but the call on what we build is yours - which is why we're looking for top-of-market talent for this position.

You'll lead a team of ~10: a Project Manager, an Engineering Lead over three seniors (iOS, Android, backend) each with a junior, QA, a UI designer, and a UX research consultancy. This is not an oversight role - you're expected to stay in the detail daily.

What you bring

  • 6+ years in product, at least 3 of them owning a consumer mobile app (iOS + Android), at least 2 leading other people. Ideally social, UGC, or short-form.

  • Has owned product for an app that passed 1M MAU, and was there for the climb - the 100K→1M stretch is the experience we care about, more than a big-brand logo at 50M where they owned one surface.

  • Real product taste, not just process. A genuine point of view on what makes a short-form, creation-first app addictive, formed by using the product daily.

  • Ran a live experimentation program: A/B testing.

  • Has moved a headline number and can say by how much - e.g. D1 or D7 retention up 3-5 points, or sessions/day, or creation-funnel conversion.

  • Technically literate about mobile, backend and AI pipelines - doesn't need to code, does need to hold their own in a technical trade-off and know when an estimate is wrong.

Nice to have

  • Has shipped a product whose core content is AI-generated, and knows what a non-deterministic pipeline does to specs, QA and release planning.

Not a fit

  • A delivery/scrum PM who executes a backlog someone else prioritised.

  • A "product owner" who translates decisions rather than making them.

Hiring process

  • 45 minute interview with the founders

  • 1 hour decision exercise interview, to see how you'd approach Nanogram

  • 30 minute spec & delivery interview

Logistics

  • Location: London, in person.

  • Full-time.

  • Compensation: £125,000-£155,000 gross per year plus equity - top of band for someone who clears every line above.
