Senior Quant Developer
The opportunity
Founded in 2015 by MIM University of Warsaw alumni who spent years at top-tier investment banks and hedge funds in London, we brought that high-impact culture back to Warsaw. We build front-office software for commodities trade risk assessment - a highly specialised domain where engineering meets finance.
Developer-driven: you'll be surrounded by people who genuinely love to code, and we prioritise writing new code over maintaining legacy systems.
Unique domain: commodities trade risk is not generic IT - it's challenging, intellectually rewarding and gives you rare, marketable skills.
Real impact: independent, responsible tasks where you implement your own ideas and see their immediate effect on complex financial systems.
Many of us are UW alumni (JSIM, CS, Math, Physics), Staszic Matex graduates, or Informatics/Mathematics Olympiad finalists. If that's your background too, apply and you're guaranteed an intro call. If you took a different path, exceptional engineering is the only credential that matters.
The role
You'll design, develop and test essential front-office components used daily by traders.
What you'll do
Market & trade data: work on market data ingestion, time series frameworks, trade ingestion and high-frequency trades
Data pipelines: build ETL pipelines and integrations with third-party systems
Platform: add features to the framework that make developing and deploying applications easy, and support and enhance the platform over time
What we're looking for
Expert-level Python
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, with exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases
Proven experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Redis
A degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or a related field
You enjoy building tools traders use every day, and adapting when users use your work in ways you didn't expect
You enjoy learning and trying new things
Nice to have:
Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
Exposure to multiple programming languages and paradigms
A PhD
Financial knowledge or experience in financial markets
What we offer
Base salary plus a bonus twice a year - based on your skills and how fast you learn, not your previous job title
Close work with experts and natural exposure to top financial institutions
Office in Powiśle, Warsaw, with flexible working hours
International business trips for volunteers

We solve hard problems together at the whiteboard, so we're looking for people who want to be in the office most days.
