Government Sales Lead - Nordics, Baltics & Eastern Europe
The opportunity
A London-headquartered, VC-backed company is building AI-powered narrative intelligence to help governments detect, attribute and counter coordinated disinformation. The platform is already live with government and commercial clients, and revenue is split roughly evenly between the two.
The UK government side is well established. Momentum in Europe is strong too, with good credentials and references, but every European deal so far has been led by the founders. We're now hiring a Government Sales Lead to take over and scale that motion across Scandinavia, the Baltics and Eastern Europe.
What the company does
The platform gives national security and government teams a real-time picture of emerging narrative threats across open and covert online channels. Legacy tools stop at monitoring. This one maps how narratives spread, identifies who is behind them, and supports a fast, coordinated response.
Core capabilities:
Early detection of emerging harmful narratives
Mapping of threat actors, networks and influence patterns
Attribution of intent and origin, where possible
Actionable insight for aligned response across comms, intelligence and operations
It was developed with national security experts and tested in real-world environments. With synthetic media and information warfare on the rise, it gives governments clarity and control in contested information spaces.
The role
You'll be the first dedicated government seller for Europe, working directly with the CEO, an operator who knows this market well. The team runs a paired model: an Account Executive owns everything up to contract, and a Customer Success lead owns the account after it. On the government side Customer Success is already in place; you're the missing half.
This is a true hunter role. There's no SDR or pre-sales support: you'll run your own pipeline from first outreach to signature, including first and second meetings on your own.
What you'll do
Own European government sales across Nordic, Baltic and Eastern European markets, from lead generation to close
Sell into military intelligence, NATO-aligned bodies, ministries of foreign affairs, home affairs/interior ministries and OSINT-focused agencies
Navigate the full stakeholder map, from analysts and end users up to ministerial level
Go deep on the product: run technical conversations and demos yourself, without leaning on pre-sales
Build the European GTM playbook: country prioritisation, account plans, messaging and partnerships
Feed frontline government insight back into product direction
Help shape the team as the company expands after its next raise
Year 1: what success looks like
3 months
Learn the product, existing traction and European government pain points
Map priority countries and agencies and build target account plans
Take over founder-led European opportunities and refine messaging with the CEO
6 months
Engage senior stakeholders across defence, intelligence, foreign affairs and interior ministries
Build a qualified pipeline across your focus markets
Contribute to at least one flagship European government engagement
12 months
Be the commercial point of contact for European government customers
Own a repeatable European government GTM playbook
Help inform hiring and team structure as the business scales
What we're looking for
Must-haves
A track record of selling technology into European governments
Startup or early-stage scaleup experience
Experience at a product company (software, data or security), not a services business
Proven hunter who has worked fully independently, without SDR or pre-sales support
Able to go deep on technical product detail and explain it credibly to analysts and senior officials alike
Comfortable with long sales cycles and many stakeholders, from end users to ministers
Able to obtain the relevant security clearance
Strong advantages
Experience selling to or working with military intelligence, NATO, home affairs, MFAs or OSINT agencies
Background in disinformation, OSINT, threat intelligence or cybersecurity
Existing network in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway or the Baltics
Nordic or Baltic nationality and languages (Swedish especially)
Logistics
Location: Remote within Europe, ideally based in the Nordics or Baltics, with regular travel across focus markets and to the London HQ
Contract: Full-time
Package: Competitive base plus commission, with a path to equity and leadership
