About the Role
A Senior DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps) is needed to strengthen the security of the platform, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure - while contributing to the broader DevOps/Operations roadmap and helping the organisation scale responsibly and efficiently.
This is a DevOps role first, with a practical specialisation in security: hardening, vulnerability management, and embedding security into how the team builds and ships. Based in Kraków, hybrid 2-3 days per week in office.
What You'll Do
Contribute to and execute tasks within the DevOps/Operations roadmap, aligned with product, platform, and data priorities
Embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) - integrate SAST/SCA/secret scanning, artifact integrity, and supply-chain controls
Drive hardening of systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments across Azure and AWS
Own vulnerability management - identify, prioritise, and coordinate remediation across the estate
Secure and evolve Kubernetes-based environments (RBAC, network policies, image and cluster hardening)
Apply security to IaC through policy-as-code and automated scanning of Terraform/Ansible
Manage TLS/SSL and certificate lifecycle across services - issuance, renewal, and rotation
Operate cloud security posture and SIEM tooling (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel) for detection, alerting, and response
Ensure stable operations of cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS, and drive automation across deployments and operational processes
Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response - including security signals
Partner with Engineering and QA to raise secure-by-default standards across pipelines and reliability practices
Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to support data platforms, pipelines, and analytical workloads
Actively manage cloud and tooling costs across the multi-cloud environment
Participate in on-call operational support rotations where applicable
What We're Looking For
Proven hands-on experience in DevOps, Operations, Infrastructure, or Platform engineering roles
Experience working in international environments and collaborating in English
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure infrastructure and services, .NET-based environments, MS SQL, and Microsoft-centric architectures
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (design, operation, and troubleshooting)
Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps
Expertise in IaC using Terraform/Ansible for automated deployment, configuration, and management
Experience with observability stack: Grafana, NewRelic, Prometheus, centralised logging and alerting
Hands-on experience with system and infrastructure hardening and vulnerability management (identification, prioritisation, and remediation)
Practical experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) - e.g. SAST, SCA/dependency scanning, secret scanning
Hands-on experience with TLS/SSL and certificate lifecycle management (issuance, renewal, rotation, cipher hygiene)
Nice to Have
Practical experience with AWS (EC2, RDS)
Experience with cloud security posture management and SIEM tooling (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel)
Container and Kubernetes security: image scanning, RBAC, network policies, admission control (OPA/Kyverno)
Secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault) and policy-as-code / IaC security scanning (tfsec, Checkov)
Security-related certifications (cloud or infrastructure security)
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL) and messaging queues
Expertise in on-premise and hybrid environments
Experience with multi-cloud cost optimisation
Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and GDPR
The Team
You'll report to the DevOps & Operations Lead and collaborate daily with Platform, Data & Reporting, and QA teams. The wider team spans Poland, UK, Germany, and Cyprus - fully international and distributed.
