About the Company

We're building the operating system for public-sector dealmaking and infrastructure projects across Europe. Through a combination of workflow software, data, and embedded financial products, we help organisations identify, evaluate, and execute complex infrastructure and public-sector opportunities.

We are entering a critical growth phase and are looking for a strategic, hands-on CMO / Growth Lead to join the executive team and help scale from approximately $3M ARR to $40M ARR across multiple European markets.

This role reports directly to the CEO and will be one of four executive leaders responsible for shaping the future of the company - alongside Sales, Operations, and Product leadership.


About the Role

This is not a demand generation manager role. This is not a brand awareness role.

You will own marketing strategy, growth, and category creation at a company with strong product-market fit, an ambitious expansion roadmap, and a real shot at defining a new category in European public infrastructure. You'll work directly with founders, set direction, and build the team.

Remote-first within Europe. Regular travel to HQ (approximately once per month).


What You'll Do

  • Own marketing strategy, growth engine, brand, and category creation efforts.

  • Define and establish the company as the category leader in "European Public Deal Infrastructure."

  • Build and scale a high-performing demand generation engine across content, SEO, paid acquisition, partnerships, and outbound-supporting programmes.

  • Own product marketing and positioning across the company's key revenue streams.

  • Drive Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives and improve self-serve activation, conversion, and expansion metrics.

  • Partner closely with Sales to develop go-to-market strategies for new European markets including DACH, Iberia, Italy, and France.

  • Lead PR, founder branding, thought leadership, webinars, and industry events across Europe.

  • Build, scale, and manage the marketing organisation - including hiring, budgeting, and team development.

  • Work directly with founders on company strategy, category positioning, and growth priorities.


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading marketing and growth functions in B2B SaaS companies.

  • Track record of scaling revenue and building repeatable demand generation engines.

  • Experience operating across multiple European markets.

  • Strong understanding of both PLG and sales-assisted growth motions.

  • Experience owning marketing budgets, KPIs, and business outcomes.

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing marketing teams.

  • Comfort working directly with founders and executive leadership teams.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, fintech, procurement, public sector, or adjacent industries.

  • Experience building or defining new market categories.

  • Startup or scale-up experience.

  • Experience working in founder-led organisations.

  • German language skills.


Key Success Metrics

  • MQL volume and MQL → SQL conversion.

  • Inbound contribution to total SQL pipeline.

  • Self-serve activation and conversion rates.

  • Customer acquisition cost (CAC) by channel.

  • Year-over-year brand awareness and branded search growth.

  • Partner-sourced pipeline and revenue contribution.

  • Customer case studies and thought leadership output.


What's Not in Scope

  • Direct sales execution.

  • Customer success and renewals ownership.

  • Engineering leadership or product roadmap ownership.

  • Finance, legal, recruiting, or operational management responsibilities.


Compensation & Setup

  • Base salary: €150,000-€200,000.

  • Bonus: Quarterly performance bonuses.

  • Equity: Meaningful equity package.

  • Work model: Remote-first within Europe.

  • Travel: Regular in-person collaboration with leadership approximately once per month.
