About the role
A fast-growing B2B software company building AI agents that automate complex analytical workflows used by financial professionals. The product is already deployed at several leading management consulting firms and investment funds. The long-term vision is a fully integrated AI operating system for strategic decision-making — spanning the tools and formats financial professionals use daily.
The team is small and highly experienced, with backgrounds at elite firms across trading, finance, consulting, and top universities. Culture is high-standards, fast-moving, and in-person.
The role
You will join the CPO and an existing Design Engineer to own the end-to-end user experience — from core product surfaces to marketing and client-facing materials. Customers are senior financial professionals: intelligent, time-poor, and exacting. Everything they touch must feel precise and polished.
Strong design fundamentals and fluency with AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code) are required. You lean toward one of two directions:
Code-leaning: you can take a design spec and ship it yourself in the codebase. You hold your own in React component discussions, catch code smells, and own implementation end-to-end.
Client-leaning: you have a strong command of language and understand (or can quickly learn) financial workflows. You own the marketing site, sales collateral, onboarding, tutorial content, in-product copy, and every client touchpoint.
What you will do
Own UX for features we ship — bring the right intuition for what good looks like, and empathy for users whose time and attention are scarce
Drive the product toward a high level of polish and consistency: clean, minimal, precise, confident
Depending on your lean: implement designs directly in the codebase, or own marketing surfaces (website, landing pages, sales and onboarding materials, in-product copy)
Establish and extend the design system alongside an existing Design Engineer
Work closely with engineering to ship at pace — short feedback loops, high standards
Sit with users and prospective users; let what you learn shape what you ship next
