What we're looking for
- Founding or lead designer experience
- 3–5+ years in B2B SaaS, productivity tools, or developer experience
- Experience designing AI-native products
- Experience building or leading a design team
- Strong portfolio with enterprise or prosumer complexity
About the role
- Define product vision and design strategy: Partner with founders to shape long-term product direction — what we build, for whom, and why it matters for healthcare.
- Own the end-to-end design process: From user research and clinical discovery, through prototyping, to polished specs ready for engineering — with full accountability for quality at every stage.
- Build and maintain the design system: Create a cohesive visual language for the platform — components, tokens, and guidelines that scale across specialties, devices, and health systems.
- Design for invisible-yet-powerful AI experiences: Craft UX for real-time transcription, AI-generated records, and clinical decision support that stays out of the physician's way — and earns their trust.
- Lead integration and cross-system UX: Design seamless experiences across EHR integrations, cross-channel notifications, and API surfaces — ensuring consistency wherever physicians encounter the product.
- Collaborate tightly with engineering and clinical teams: Participate in sprint planning, review implementations with a designer's eye, and work directly with physicians to validate that what's built actually works in the clinic.
- Build design culture across the organization: Set quality standards, establish design review processes, and raise design literacy across PMs, engineers, and clinical advisors.
